In what areas do you provide home care?

We can currently provide hourly home care services to those who live within the Macclesfield borough and surrounding local areas. However our business is continuing to expand, please call us to find out if we can deliver a care package where you live.

In what areas can you provide a live in care service?

We provide our live in care service nationwide throughout England and Wales. Please visit our dedicated live in care section for more information.

Is there a minimum or maximum amount of care you can provide?

We can provide you with care from 15 minute visits locally from our Macclesfield offices and we can provide longer term 24/7 live in care packages nationwide throughout England and Wales.

How much do you charge for your hourly homecare services?

Our hourly personal care starts from around £13 – £15 per hour depending on your requirements. Please download our 2010 price guide here for our upto date rates.

How much does 24/7 live in care cost?

Live in care starts at £650 per week and the actual cost if very much dependant on your needs and requirements. Please contact us for a free no obligation home assessment of your needs and to discuss the cost of your care in more detail.

Can you help with care funding?

How do I pay for the care I recieve?

Your care may be paid directly to us via the local authority or the NHS primary care trust if you are entitled to free care at home. If you pay for care yourself privately then this may done securely via bank direct debit or payment can be taken over the telephone with a debit or credit card. Please view our care funding page for further information on the types of funding available.

What happens if my carer is sick or unable to care for me?

We provide you with 100% guaranteed cover if your normal carer is sick or is unable to carer for you. A fully trained temporary carer will be on hand to cover until your normal carer is able to work again.

Are you available for out of hour emergencies, help or assistance?

Yes, we provide all of our clients with an out of hours “on call” service so you will always be able to contact a member of our team regarding your care 24/7 365 days a year.

Can I choose whether my carer is male or female?

Yes of course, we will work with you to find a carer that matches your exact needs and preferences. It’s your choice to make the final decision regarding the type of carer you would like.

What type of conditions are you able to care for?

We can provide care for people who have a wide range of conditions such as Dementia, Stroke, Parkinsons, MS and many more. All of our homecare workers undergo specific training depending on your requirements. Please view our care conditions page for further information.

Are Homecare UK you insured against accidents or incidents?

Yes, we have a fully comprehsive insurance policy with Blue Fin insurance services that covers both our services users and care staff for up to £10 Million

Do you train your own care staff?

Yes we do. We have our own dedicated care training facilities at 17-19 Marketplace in Macclesfield. Please view our care training facilities page for further detailed information.

Can I come and speak to you at your offices?

Yes, you can come visit us at anytime. Please call us to make an appointment or pop in anytime.

Do you carry our police checks on your home care workers?

Yes absolutely. We do full CRB (criminal records bureau) checks on all of our staff before they are allowed to work with us as a home care worker. We also obtain a full 5 year work history and obtain references for all of our care employees.

We would like to release the equity in our house to help pay for our care, can you help with this?

Yes, we can buy your property quickly or help you to arrange a sale and rent back agreement whereby you sell your home and remain there as long term tenants. This helps you to release the money tied up in your home and to still enjoy living there under an affordable agreement.
