Pay and Benefits

Here at Homecare UK we believe in paying the best rates of pay and providing our carers with a range of additional benefits that rewards them both financially and emotionally for the important role their provide within our care organisation.

Directly employed

As a Homecare UK carer you’ll benefit from being directly employed by us. This means we take care of all your National Insurance (NI) contributions and you will be part of our P.A.Y.E (Pay As You Earn) scheme. We take care of all your employment issues, paperwork and administration. This means you can concentrate and be able get on with your new role as a carer.

Pay and holidays

As a live in carer you will be paid from £350.00 per week depending on your role and the level of care you are required to undertake. You will be entitled to a full holiday entitlement of 28 days per year (pro rata).You are also entitled to full statutory sick pay so there is no need to feel guilty if you are unable to work due to illness.

Our live in care shifts are generally 5 weeks on and 1 week off. This means that you will work for 5 weeks continously with your client and then be able take 1 week off at the end of the 5 week period. However, this is flexible and it depends on the requirements of the Service User and what is also suitable for the carer.

On your holiday breaks you are free to do as you wish such as traveling, visiting friends or family. There is no need to worry as your client will be covered by another carer for the period of your holiday break.

Hours of work

While your placement in on a ’24 hours’ basis you will expected to work around 8 -10 hours each day and will be entitled to at least 2 hours break time per day in day light hours. Break times should be flexibly to meet both the needs of the carer and service user.
