Live-in Spinal Injury Care

We provide care for those with spinal cord injuries

Additional to our live in care services we also provide specialist live-in Personal Assistants (PA’s) for those who have a spinal cord injury and who require extra help and assistance at home; or in their community on a daily basis ongoing basis.

Our care package provides:

• Guaranteed cover – you’ll never be without a Personal Assistant.
• All of your PA’s specialist spinal injury training – You’re PA will be trained to meet your personal needs.
• A fully supported and managed care plan developed with your preferences in mind.
• A simple weekly payment means your care is completely covered.
• We deal with all the employment issues and recruitment of your Personal Assistant.
• Regular PA refresher training and further development.

Our PA’s/carers are working closely with adults (both young and old) who may have mobility problems either due to spinal injury or other conditions that effect their mobility and their need for extra help and care.

We provide a complete and fully managed care package which means we directly recruit and train your personal assistant to match your exact preferences, needs and choice.

PA Spinal Injury Training & Development

All of our PA’s undergo an initial training induction at our offices in Macclesfield that covers a wide range of care skills and competences related to spinal injury and disability. Our PA’s also undergo periodic training to ensure their skills remain upto date and are relevant to the best practices.

Short Term Respite Care Arrangements

We can also arrange for short term respite care (1 – 2 weeks) while your normal carer/assistant is unavailable or to cover sickness and family holidays.

Affiliate members of the SIA (Spinal Injuries Association)

Homecare UK are proud to be affiliate members and supporters of the Spinal Injuries Assocation (SIA) which is the UK’s leading charity for spinal cord injured people.

Our Personal Assistant training packages are developed with the recommendations and support material provided by the SIA. We closely follow the developments and progress made by the association towards improving the lifes of those who have and who are living independently with a spinal injury here in the UK.
